City to City: Olympic Buildings

In July, Paris will come alive with Olympic frenzy for the first time in 100 years. In addition to the traditional sports venues, the river Seine will be used as a large open stadium for water sports. Join us on another virtual tour of the world's capitals, this time with a special focus on cities which hosted the Olympics! Adam Gebrian will introduce you to the best of the sports building architecture, and we'll show you the hidden treasures you won't find in a guidebook. Iconic dives into the water with Barcelona's Sagrada Família in the background, a marathon finishing at the famous Arch of Constantine in Rome, or the Munich stadium grounds, still open to the public today, with the original Olympic Village transformed into housing for young families and students. Come to a lecture where architecture and sports play a major role.
