Planeta Praha: How to Care for Nature in the City?

An English lawn or an urban jungle? Prague is one of the greenest cities in the world. However, many of the parks and other green spaces in our city are not designed in a way that makes people want to spend time there. At the same time, nature is finding its own way to take root. It grows through sidewalks, cracks in the plaster, and train station platforms, or covers streetlights. Thanks to climate change, we also face greater pressure to be sustainable. How can we care for urban greenery in a way that doesn’t harm it and allows us to help one another? How, for example, should we manage rainwater? IPR is working diligently on these issues—namely, blue-green infrastructure, public space, and its details. What are its plans and recommendations?
