Amanda Levete (UK)

Projects which address not just buildings but entire urban concepts. That's how the British studio AL_A thinks about architecture. Their director, Amanda Levete, will speak at CAMP as part of the Urban Talks series. She will present her studio's latest projects, which include a building Wadham College in Oxford, a new center for a charity caring for people with cancer, and the refurbishment and extension of Paisley Museum in Scotland. Amanda Levete previously worked with Richard Rogers and Jan Kaplicky. She is a recipient of the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to architecture, among many other awards. The Society of Czech Architects invited her to be on the jury of their 30th Grand Prix of Architects this year.
