Nejlepší výhled na město a především kanál Grande zažijeme ze střechy paláce Fondaco dei Tedeschi, který zrekonstruovalo studio OMA v čele s Remem Koolhaasem. Za návštěvu rozhodně stojí i hřbitov San Michele od Davida Chipperfielda, který leží na ostrově mezi Benátkami a Muranem.
