Planeta Praha: A Climate-Resilient City

Prague’s climate in data: is it even possible to quantify how various projects affect the surrounding area? What data are we collecting, and what other data could we be gathering? The City of Prague has a Climate Plan and a Strategy for the City of Prague’s Adaptation to Climate Change. The Prague Institute of Planning and Development, in turn, has long been collecting environmental data and is currently preparing a sustainable construction manual. The goal of such steps is to prepare the city in advance for increasingly frequent weather fluctuations and mitigate their impacts on residents. At the third accompanying discussion for the current exhibition, we will discuss and ask: what should sustainable construction and sustainable neighborhoods look like? How can we improve the quality and impact of adaptation projects in the city? And is it possible to meaningfully collect and evaluate data on such projects? Representatives from IPR Prague and the Environmental Protection Department of Prague City Hall will participate in the debate.
