The task is to find a suitable combination of sports facilities for the development of an attractive area in Prague 6’s Na Markétě neighborhood, adjacent to Obora Hvězda and Ladronka—an area known primarily for its legendary speedway track. The proposed combination of sports facilities is designed to meet the needs of athletes affiliated with the MVČR Olymp sports organization (such as biathletes Gabriela Koukalová and Ondřej Moravec, speed skaters Martina Sáblíková and Karolína Erbanová, shooters Jiří Lipták and Filip Nepejchal, and extreme jumper Michal Navrátil) and to develop public sports infrastructure.

The traditional Markéta speedway stadium will continue to be modernized, with the goal of improving noise protection toward residential areas and developing a high-quality rugby field in the center of the oval.

A key pillar of the newly constructed sports infrastructure will be an enclosed cross-country skiing tunnel. This is an artificially cooled structure—partly above ground and partly underground—featuring a cross-country ski trail open year-round, complemented by a biathlon shooting range. The tunnel’s route follows the perimeter of the existing speedway stadium; in the northern section, the tunnel runs above ground to allow for passage through the area, public access, and to serve as a noise barrier. The cooled section of the structure includes one ice hockey training rink. The southern part of the building, on the other hand, is designated for swimming sports to balance the energy consumption. The main pool is a standard 50-meter competition pool; the second is a deep, multifunctional pool designed for diving, synchronized swimming, and professional scuba diving training.

In front of the building, an area is being created with limited parking for cars and buses, greenery, and tree plantings. Adjacent to the indoor sports facilities, outside the buildable area within the green spaces, outdoor training trails for roller skis and skates are proposed. These sports trails are designed to cross, at different levels, existing public walking trails that connect Bílá Hora with the Břevnov Monastery. The goal is the overall revitalization of this attractive natural area.

The project includes the construction of a municipal parking facility on a portion of the land designated by the Land Use Plan.
