Charles Square

Charles Square is one of the most significant green spaces in the center of Prague, and its restoration demonstrates the role that public spaces can play in a city’s adaptation to climate change. The walk will focus on the principles of blue-green infrastructure, stormwater management, conditions for tree growth, and ways to avoid urban heat islands. Landscape architect Barbora Lišková from the IPR Prague Office of Public Space will present design studies by Rehwaldt Landscape Architects, BY Architects, and PD Filip, as well as specific measures that can make Charles Square a more resilient and pleasant place for everyday life.

The walk is part of the Climate Week Prague 2026.
