Did you know that the tracks at Masaryk Station are being expanded from seven to nine? And that a new walking terrace will span the entire track and connect the station with Florenc, Žižkov and the city centre? On a guided tour, you will have the unique opportunity to walk through the area under redevelopment and get an insight into the design, which addresses not only the railway infrastructure, but also the quality of the public space and the connection of the neighbourhoods previously separated by the track. The explanation will be given by architect Boris Volosin from Jakub Cigler Architects and Martin Verner from Správa železnic, one day before the 180th anniversary of the arrival of the first steam train to Prague. It arrived on 20 August 1845 at the then Prague railway station from Olomouc.
