Construction of the new metro line D is in full swing. Come and see one of the shafts from which the tunnels are being excavated! Expert commentary on site will explain not only the current construction phase and technologies used, but also the broader context of the entire project from initial preparations to planned completion and connection to existing lines. Line D will connect Pankrác with the southern part of the city and significantly relieve congested transport routes. Construction is divided into four phases, starting with the most demanding section Pankrác–Olbrachtova. This will be followed by continuation south towards Písnice Depot, with future extensions to the center reaching Náměstí Míru and Náměstí Republiky stations.

Practical information:

• Public meeting point at 16:30 at the corner of Budějovická and Na Strži streets. Participants must arrive in appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
• The tour is not suitable for children and young people under 140 cm tall (checked at entrance), people with limited mobility, and people with claustrophobia or vertigo; it is also not possible to enter the area with strollers or wheelchairs.
• The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Entry to the construction site is at your own risk. Participants will be asked to sign a declaration of awareness of risks.
• Participants acknowledge that photographs or audiovisual recordings may be taken during their participation in the event, which the organizer is authorized to publish for the purpose of informing about these and other events and for promotional purposes.
