Prager's Cubes

How is the perception of post-war architecture changing, and how can its qualities be preserved for the 21st century? Come and see what awaits the former Sdružení projektových ateliérů (Association of Project Studios) complex in Emauzy. Architect Benedikt Markel will guide you through the history and future of the complex, which was completed in 1975 based on a design by Karel Prager and Jiří Kadeřábek. Between 2027 and 2030, the three pavilions will undergo sensitive renovation according to a design by the IXA studio, while their immediate surroundings and greenery will be redesigned according to a proposal by landscape architects Land05. You will learn about the bold steel structure and assembly elements from the GAMA system, whose contrast with the heavy bases determines the character of the entire complex.
