Rohan Island

How can the landscape along the Vltava River help the city cope with climate change? Rohan Island is set to undergo a significant transformation based on a design by the Czech-Belgian team OMGEVING + FISER + VRV + SINDLAR, who won the design competition. A 17-hectare park will be created, combining recreation, wildlife, and flood protection. Architect Martina Bauerová from the IPR Prague Office of Public Space will lead the walking tour. She will present the current state of the area, the design principles, and how the relationship between Karlín and Libeň and the river will change in the future.

The walk is part of Climate Week Prague 2026.
