CAMP Tour: Across Prague by railway

Almost everyone has traveled by train between cities, but what about railways as part of urban public transport? A guided tour across Prague will introduce historic stations, newly built stops, and places where passengers will board in twenty or thirty years. The route will lead from Masaryk Station via Bubny, Výstaviště, and Veleslavín to Hostivice, from where the train will return to the Main Station via Prague's Semmering and Smíchov. The ride on the legendary 810 series motor train, nicknamed Orchestrion, will be accompanied by a commentary on the history of the original Buštěhrad Railway, current projects, and the planned integration of the lines into the modernized Prague railway junction. The commentary will be provided by Marek Binko and Jiří Jaroš from IPR Prague.

Practical information:

  • The meeting point for the public is no later than 15 minutes before the start of the event at the side entrance to the Masaryk Railway Station building (near the tram stop and metro exit E2).
