Metropolitan Plan: Transport and Infrastructure

Transport is a burning issue for Prague residents. How will the new plan help speed up the preparation of key construction projects? What new transport projects appear in the plan? Prague faces major challenges, from the construction of Metro Line D and the City Ring Road to new tram lines and high-speed rail. The Metropolitan Plan anticipates corridors for key projects in advance. Cycling routes and pedestrian connections also have their place in the Metropolitan Plan. How does all this fit into the overall concept of the city and how will it support transit-oriented development?

The following guests accepted our invitation to participate in the discussion:

  • Petr Hlaváček / Deputy Mayor of Prague for Territorial Development
  • Jaromír Beránek / Future Deputy Mayor of Prague for Transport
  • Jiří Deyl / Architect, Metropolitan Planning Office, IPR Prague
  • Marek Zděradička / Director of the Transport Infrastructure Section, IPR Prague
  • Martin Vaněk / Technical Specialist, Strategy Department, Railway Administration
