A number of new neighborhoods are currently being planned and built in Prague. A key issue that must be addressed in these projects is their sustainability and resilience. But what does that mean, specifically? How do you design and build a sustainable neighborhood? What factors need to be taken into account when planning a sustainable city? Deputy Mayors Hřib and Hlaváček discussed all of this with the authors of two recent publications—Sustainable Neighborhoods for the 21st Century (Kees Christaanse, Gyler Mydyti, Petr Návrat, and Barbora Grísová) and Prague Resilient (Jana Zdráhalová and Lukáš Kopp).
