How can we contribute to solving energy poverty? In the Rethink Architecture lecture, we focused on renewable energy sources in relation to architecture. Using the example of a specific apartment building, we showed how costs could be reduced using heat pumps and photovoltaics—including practical information on implementation, for example, within a homeowners' association (HOA). The lecture offered insights from users, information on financial returns, service life, and maintenance requirements. The topic also included electricity production and sharing through community energy, as well as inspiring projects from abroad.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Rethink Architecture Institute under the auspices of the Czech Green Building Council and the Czech Chamber of Architects. The lecture was part of the LIFE ClimArchiBase project, co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of the Environment.
